Kindly note National Treasury circulated communication recently regarding an update to the A1 Schedule version 6.7 template and we are in anticipation of some more updates.
The updates are relating to issues identified by various stakeholders and communicated to National Treasury via the FAQ platform.
Munsoft is in the process of updating the A1 Schedule version 6.7 template to the most recent updated template communicated by National Treasury and any further updates will also be taken into account.
We do note that the current A1 Schedule template was used for the 2024 Draft Budget, tabled to Councils and submitted to Treasury during March 2023, we can however confirm that the template used is still compliant with the Municipal Budget Reporting Regulations and will not result in any non-compliance. From an assessment perspective by other stakeholders it should be noted that the assessment is done based on the 2024 TABB data strings submitted to which these updates on the A1 Schedule template has no effect.
We encourage all municipalities to plan in advance and be in consultation with the necessary stakeholders to have a complete and realistic 2024 Final Budget prepared and presented to Councils for adoption at least 30 days before the start of the 2024 Financial Year.
