Munsoft would like to remind all municipalities of the 2021/22 Final Budget that is due to be approved by end of May 2021.
 
The MFMA Article 24.(1) indicates that the Municipal Council must at least 30 days before the start of the budget year consider approval of the annual budget.
 
While completing the 2021/22 Final Budget please be reminded to take into account the key focus areas as stipulated in MFMA Budget Circular No. 108 and that Municipalities are no longer expected to submit hard copies of all required documents including budget-related, Integrated Development Plan, Service Delivery Budget and Implementation Plan, Annual Financial Statements and Annual Reports to National Treasury via post or courier services.
Electronic copies must be submitted in pdf format to the LG Upload portal or lgdocuments@treasury.gov.za
